i see a lot of normals every now and then.
normally wrt to some sort of meme where it says the people at extreme ends think the same and are more simple and people at the middle are the ones over complicating things. the y axis there is some sort of a parameter of intelligence or smartness.
people generally take pride in not over complicating things and being simple off off graphs like these, but i think theres a lot of value to be found from being in the middle and slowly figuring out the why about the extreme.
what i mean is, assuming the people on the extremes are correct, theres a lot of value in being at the middle and slowly figuring out the WHY behind the decisions of the ‘smart’ people. i know this doesn’t apply for every graph lol and sometimes there are people just making things over complicated for the sake of looking smart, but this is an observation solely for the situations where it makes sense to traverse the graph and walk out the other end actually smarter and being able to reason about the tradeoffs of the decisions you made! thats what separates the people at the extreme ends i think.
so there might be a lot of value in not shortcutting your way into the other end if you think you’re stuck in the middle! trust the process, keep getting better and you’ll figure it out eventually!
